Course objectives
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of artificial intelligence and its applications through three main modules:
- Foundations of AI: Introduce AI concepts, differentiate between narrow and general AI, and explore AI's impact on industries. Learn to define AI, understand its technologies, and distinguish between predictions, pattern recognition, and process automation.
- Technical Skills and Applications: Cover data science essentials and AI model building, including data acquisition, cleaning, preprocessing, statistical analysis, and visualization. Master data manipulation, model training, and evaluation techniques.
- AI Ethics and Future Outlook: Address ethical issues in AI, review global AI governance frameworks, and explore trends like quantum AI and affective computing. Engage in role-playing exercises and discuss future AI advancements and societal implications.
